Located on the border between Alfama and Baixa districts, in the most trendy, fascinating and cosmopolitan neighbourhood of Lisbon. It's 5 minutes walk to Tejo river. Subway, buses and trains in front of the house just around the corner. Also, the famous 28 Tram it's 5 minutes walking from the apartment. This is the perfect spot for your stay in Lisbon.

The space

The restored building, Bacalhoeiros 99 – Baixa, a symbol of excellence due to its architectural heritage, a unique apartment that celebrate a lifestyle of luxury in a space fillled with comfort and elegance. The architectural project preserves the historical value and reminiscence of the building by maintaining the original façade tiles, while adding a modern touch which only the most elegant architectural trends can provide.

It´s a two bedroom (one suite) apartment located on 1st floor, with an area of 120 sq. m. Standout features of the apartment includes modern lines, ample divisions, natural light, and a predominance of space in a totally private and functional environment.

Inside, the attention to detail and sublime taste in the selection of fittings and fixtures, turn Bacalhoeiros 99 –Baixa, into an invitation for exclusive holidays. You will find all the amenities you need, air conditioning, 43´ smart cable tv, surround sound system, Bluethooth speaker where you can connect your phone or laptop, wifi cable internet, american kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, Nespresso & Cappuccino coffee machine, orange juice squeezer, Magimix toaster, SMEG kettle, oven, electric hob (4), microwaves. We were 2 couples having a short break in Lisbon. The apartment was perfect and spacious with lovely living room with views over the square. There were lots of good local restaurants. It was a bit noisy in the late evenings but the double glazing in the bedrooms was effective. Very convenient local for exploring the city and close to a bus stop.

The location and the fact that this is a corner apartment with huge windows looking out on the square made it the perfect spot to take in Lisbon. A block from the metro and the river made it easy to get around the city.

When you get into the apartment you feel like home. High ceilings, panoramic windows (soundproof, with shutters), large cozy but clutter-free living room with kitchen, small-ish bedrooms. Great location with restaurants in walking distance, minimarket opposite, bus stop very close. Hosts responded quickly and accommodated our requests. Would book again.

Lourenco et Térésa ont été très réactifs, très cordiaux et accueillants. l'appartement est un bijoux. proche de plysieurs bons restaurants, d'activités, au coeur du quartier historique de Alfama. Wir waren zu dritt sechs Nächte dort und haben uns in dem Apartment sehr wohl gefühlt, besonders im großzügigen Wohnzimmer mit Blick auf den Platz. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern, auch bei einem kleinen Problem mit der Dusche war sehr gut. Alles ist sehr gut durchdacht und praktisch. Die Musik vom Restaurant im Haus war zu hören, aber nicht allzu störend. Vielen Dank!

Great location, less than 5 minutes from the parking garage. Upstairs from a restaurant which we could hear the music from but was pretty faint so not terrible! Recommend for the space alone, nice to have a large kitchen and living area when traveling with a toddler. Would stay again!

This apartment is in an awesome location, easy access to public trans, restaurants and all the things you want to see in Lisboa. The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable, I would warn that the beds are a bit stiff but everything else was great!

Quiet location despite being in a touristy area. The floor to ceiling doors/windows blocked out almost all of the pedestrian/restaurant noise and the shutters made the rooms dark, cozy, and even quieter for sleeping. Super convenient to public transportation and areas of interest. The high ceilings make the space feel incredibly spacious. I would 100% stay here again.

A gem of an apartment in a lovely location . Very easy check in . Beautiful building with gorgeous high ceilings . Lots of recommendations given for restaurants /bars etc. Excellent cafes for breakfast and brunch right on your doorstep. Fab Italian restaurant around the corner , great food and lovely staff. Gorgeous wine and tapas bars across the street. Spotless apartment with plenty of storage. Was great to have little essentials like washing up liquid/ dishwasher tablets and washing machine capsules in the apartment and all lasted for the duration of our stay. Lourenco and Teresa were very responsive during our stay. We would definitely recommend this beautiful apartment and if we return to Lisbon in the future we will be rebooking.

We spent three nights in Lourencos flat with our 18 month old and my parents. The flat was the perfect location- really easy to get to from the airport on the metro. Loads of lovely restaurants for dinner right outside the flat plus a really great brunch place! We could walk everywhere - the flat had everything we needed. Lourenco provided a cot and high chair which was really helpful. Lourenco also provided lots of really helpful suggestions on places to go and eat out which was great. We would 100% stay here again and recommended friends and family to stay.

Last minute booking as we booked for the wrong night at another place, super responsive and helpful even at a late hour. Is very close to the water and top sights in lisbon, walkable 15-20 min from almost everything! Right near a lot of clubs/bars. Beautiful home, beds were very soft/comfortable. Would recommend!

The PERFECT apartment to stay in Lisbon, especially if you are visiting for the first time. You have everything available to you at the foot of your door - with a mini supermarket, restaurant, bars. You would think that the apartment would be noisy but when the windows are closed you can hardly hear all the outside noise. I would definitely stay again when visiting Lisbon.

We had a great stay at Lourenço. Apartment is in great location. Elevator available. Very clean. Good shower pressure, wifi worked great. The bathroom of the ensuite is very small even by European standard ;) and the bed on that room seemed worn out. It’s in a busy street but it was very quiet at night. Lots of coffee shops, bars, restaurants close by. There is a public parking 3mn walk from the apartment. Thank you :)

Location was perfect. City feel with lots of activity. Tons of restaurants right out the door. Everything shuts down at 11 so quiet nights. Place was a little tight for 6 people. Both bathrooms seemed to get soaked with water when showering. Request more towels. Parking was tough if coming back during peak hours like dinner and evenings. All meter or garage parking but limited. Overall good spot.

This was an amazing vacation. It started well right in the beginning by how flexible Teresa was by going beyond the call of duty to get our apartment ready as soon as possible since we were arriving from a dreadful overnight red eye flight. She was friendly, courteous, polite, professional and really set the tone for a wonderful holiday. The apartment was exactly as described. And a real delight. So much to do around there and after a super day of sightseeing, eating well and enjoying time in Lisbon, it was such a delight to return to a lovely home. Thank you Teresa and Lourenço!

Besten Dank, die Unterkunft ist genau wie beschrieben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bars und Restaurants waren in der Nähe. Natürlich hört man abends auf der Straße die Gäste der benachbarten Bars. Aber das hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Ich würde diese Unterkunft wieder buchen.

We enjoyed the apt but the beds were hard and rooms were small. Nothing but minimal amenities- coffee, towels, etc Location was way south by the water. Most activities were further north but totally accessible.

This place was a home away home and a great location with lots of shops and restaurants to explorer near by! Lourenço provided check in and out instructions in great detail as well as provided many recommendations for bars and restaurant options in the area, which were super helpful. We had wifi connectivity issues upon arrival and Lourenço responded promptly with alternative solutions. We wish we stayed here longer than one night!

Lourenco's apartment was exactly what we were expecting according pictures and description. Huge plus, as it has air conditioning! His place is in a GREAT walking location to restaurants, stores, and the river. We reserved an evening at Clube de Fado for dinner which is just around the corner. I highly recommend going if you enjoy Fado or have never had the experience. Thank you Lourenco for providing a comfortable and well located apartment to stay in.

Location: superb right next to train station and a supermarket opposite the apartment Lovely modern decor Feedback that could improve our stay - the lock on the first door was not working on arrival - there was an alarm beep within the accommodation which would not stop going off - a tiny welcome package could be nice such as some ice some milk fruit etc Overall great stay 5 star!

Lisbon is beautiful Lourenço place is close to many tourist attractions, easy walk to the train and metro. There were four of us, each provided with one bath and one hand towel, extras at a fee. As there was no clothes dryer would have liked an extra set each at no cost. Issues with wifi and internet, lovely service gentleman came to assist, resolved wifi however internet issue could not be resolved. Overall very satisfied with our experience Thanks

The apartment was easy to find on a well traveled pedestrian street with plenty of activity. A great area of town within walking distance to all the most popular attractions. The apartment was very clean and the public space, or great room, was huge. Hosts were very helpful with suggestions and responsive to questions.

My dad and I stayed at Lourenço's place for a few nights and had a really great experience. Lourenço was very responsive and sent instructions for check-in in advance, along with a list of local restaurant recommendations. The apartment was located on a pedestrian only street with a lot of great breakfast and dinner options, but it was also within walking distance of tons of other alternatives. The apartment common space / living room was huge and had lots of natural light, but you were able to close off the windows with inside shutters for noise control at night. We never had a problem with noise though. We never really used the kitchen space, but it seemed to have all the utensils needed if you wanted to do any cooking. One of the bathrooms was a little on the tight side, but wasn't out of the ordinary compared to some of the bathrooms I've had in apartments in the EU. We really enjoyed the apartment and would recommend it to others.

Stayed here as a family of 4 adults. The apartment was well-located for our parents, who wanted to see the tourist sights on their first time in Lisbon but are slightly mobility-challenged. The elevator was a plus for them, as well as the fact that it was easy to catch ubers around the corner and that they didn't have to climb up a hill to get home. It was also really nice to have 2 bathrooms, and the main living room is massive! The second bedroom was a little on the small side for family members who aren't that close, so we asked for extra bedding to set up the sofa bed, which worked well. The windows and shutters blocked out most weekend noise and you can have a real blackout effect with the shutters closed. We didn't use the kitchen for more than making coffee/tea and heating up leftovers, but it was nice and big. I'd recommend this place, especially if you want to be near Alfama but out of the throng!

Très bel appartement, bien situé et calme malgré la rue très animée en dessous mais le double vitrage est très bon. Chambres petites mais nous ne ne sommes pas là pour rester a l'appartement; Lisbonne est vaste, donc nous etions toujours en vadrouille. Pour le soir et le matin, le salon est très agréable. Cuisine au top, manque peut etre un peu de vaiselle, mais rien de grave. Petit bemol pour la literie avec le matelas de la chambre principale bien trop dur, ce qui le rend non confortable. Environnement proche de l'appartement très bien. A proximité de tout pour découvrir Lisbonne a pied. Bons restaurants dans la rue. Accueil des locaux au top. Nous navons pas été gâté par la météo mais nous avons passés un bon séjour. Si le matela trop dur est remplacé, cet appartement serait vraiment au top. Merci aux hôtes pour leur réactivité lors de mes quelques questions lors du sejour. Aubrigado !

The location of the unit was unbeatable and we loved the balcony which we used often to look down at the activity. There were plenty of great restaurants just a couple of steps from the building entry door. The living room and kitchen space was lovely and open. Our only recommendation would be to have a building entry key so when the push pad does not work we have an alternative way to get into the building.

Wonderful location in a beautiful and central neighborhood with easy walking to amazing restaurants and sights. Gorgeous interiors, close to bus stop for easy access to Belém and other spots. We did have a little trouble opening the front door a few times but our hosts were very responsive and resolved quickly. Would come back to stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of thirty one days at this unit. The unit was exactly as described. It was bright, airy and had a spacious living/dining area. The location is very centrally located in the Baixa/Alfama area that makes it a good starting location to sightsee in Lisbon. Although there are numerous street cafes that line the intersection of where this unit is located, it is very quiet at the end of the day and we never had an issue sleeping due to street noise. Of course, we closed the window shutters in the unit each evening. The hosts were very responsive to the few requests that we had in terms of getting back to us promptly and complying with what we asked for. We highly recommend this unit to others and we believe it was an excellent value for a short term rental in Lisbon. If there was any downside, and we do not believe it hindered our stay, the bedrooms are small and do not offer much storage space. However, this did not impact our stay in any manner.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lourenço’s beautiful apartment in Lisbon! The location was perfect, the apartment was spacious, modern and bright, and right in the centre. Given the location is so central you’d expect it to be noisy, however the street noise did not carry into the apartment and it felt very private and peaceful. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment. Very clean and spacious. A bit complicated to get to if driving and have luggage. I had asked for a parking garage recommendation from the host but that which was given was pretty far away. I found one right next to the apartment at the Campo das Cebolas. The apartment is located in a busy area with a lot of surrounding restaurants. With the windows closed in the living room, it blocks the noise however can still hear the noise from the bedrooms. Just of note, beds in the apartment were very hard and the bathroom in the bedroom is pretty small. Not a complaint, just an observation.

We only stayed one night and immediately wished we had stayed longer. This is a great apartment and a very convenient place to stay in Lisbon. It is centrally located, walking distance to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, tourist sites and various neighborhoods of Lisbon. A member of our party has mobility issues and this location was perfect--flat location (no hills or steps to climb to get to building), elevator, easy drop off if in a taxi or easy walking to an underground parking garage. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable and pristine. The host was communicative, responsive and welcoming and accommodated an early check in. We traveled with a toddler and they provided a crib and highchair (and there is also a playground across the street). We did not have any problems with street noise. We would highly recommend staying here for your trip to Lisbon!

We were two couples who loved our stay at this apartment. The best part was the location. So many great restaurants nearby and we could walk to the Metro or ferry. While the bedrooms looked a little smaller in person and the master bathroom was tiny, the large main living room/kitchen area made up for it. It is situated on a bustling corner with floor to ceiling french door windows all around, letting beautiful light into the room and the sights and sounds of the sea and the cute cobbled street below. When the windows are open, you can hear the sounds of the street, but as soon as you close them, the apartment is completely quiet and private. Lourenco and Mafalda were very helpful and kindly let us check in early. We would defintely stay there again!

The apartment was exactly how we'd imagined. The location is perfect, super easy to walk everywhere in the city and nice to be close to the river. There are plenty of good restaurants close by but nothing is too far away in Lisbon! The bedrooms and one of the bathrooms are small but the main living area is very large, comfortable and airy so this is not a problem. There are no proper balconies but it's very easy to pull up a chair in front of the lovely, full height French windows and watch the world go by. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Lourenco and Mafalda were very responsive and gave us lots of tips in advance of our trip which was very welcome. Overall, the apartment is of a very good standard and we'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

Great stay! The apartment is exactly what you see in the listing. It was a great apartment for 4 adults to use as homebase for a few days. Pros: Super clean, spacious common area. The shutters do actually block out all the noise of the busy street below. Great location to walk and wander the city. We walked everywhere. Great communication from host! Checked in with us multiple times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Need to know's: Both bedrooms are small. Which wasn't a big deal to us however, there was no real space to put your luggage. Same with second bathroom -super small. Again, not a big deal to us but you can't really store any toiletries in the bathroom. Cons: The only con was the amount of people hanging out below the apartment. We felt safe but it appeared to be a hang out spot. I would 100% recommend Lourenco's place if you are looking for a central location to explore Lisbon. It was clean, spacious, secure & attentive host.

Apartamento moderno, limpio y con excelente ubicación. Lourenço y Mafalda fueron super atentos, dando recomendaciones locales y estando atentos para todo lo que necesitábamos. Fueron muy atentos porque nos cancelaron el vuelo por motivos de la aerolínea y nos ayudaron mucho dejando que nos quedásemos 40 min después del check out para poder comprar nuevos vuelos. Recomiendo el apartamento y volvería a quedarme.

Amazing stay! Host was very attentive when answering any questions, sending recommendations before we arrived and even checking in on us to see if we needed anything else during our trip. Location was perfect and the apartment was lovely. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

A wonderfully and cosy apartment in a good location. Walking distance to the city centre and the beach. If you want to go further, there is a bus stop and metro right next door. The famous trams run nearby. Several very good restaurants on the same street. Lourenço is very helpful and flexible. I highly recommend.

Beautifully decorated apartment in a great location - everything was walkable and there's a choice of restaurants and cafes right on the doorstep. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

We went to Lisbon as a group of 4 adults (2 couples). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lourenço’s place! It looked exactly like the pictures on his listing. The living area/kitchen was a fantastic size & it was great to have 2 bathrooms. The place felt safe due to several doors/key pad locks & key to get in. The location is excellent.. several restaurants & cafes right below the apartment & walking distance to pretty much everything else in Lisbon! Couldn’t have asked for a better location. We also used their airport shuttle service & it was great. Organised so quick & easily & the driver was friendly & on time/efficient.

We loved the living space. A great place to hang out. We found the bedrooms a bit small. One of the bathrooms was also quite small. The apartment was beautifully renovated nice furnishings and pretty well equipped. The location was prefect for our visit. Lourenço was very helpful, when we had questions. Would highly recommend.
